Moving on to main works
SHARE

Main works construction has officially commenced on the $835 million John Hunter Health and Innovation Precinct. Multiplex was the project’s early works contractor and has now been appointed as the main works contractor.

Check out the work that’s taken place in the early works phase in the timelapse video below.

The project will provide Newcastle, Greater Hunter and Northern NSW communities with access to health facilities that support cutting-edge health care now and into the future.

Over the next six months, we’ll see the foundation of the Acute Services Building established. Also, keep an eye out for the arrival of the crane early next year.

It’s anticipated that the development will create around 1,500 direct jobs. There’s also the potential to support thousands of indirect jobs over the life of the project, in a huge win for the local economy. We estimate around 70 per cent of the work will be supported by local businesses throughout the Hunter region.

We’ll continue to share updates here on our project website.
