planning approval for cessnock hospital Redevelopment

In April 2025, the Cessnock Hospital Redevelopment received planning approval, which is a key step in finalising the planning and design phase.  
 
As part of the planning approval process, the project was placed on public exhibition during January and February 2025 with a call for public submissions.  
 
There were 25 formal submissions received, which have been reviewed and documented in the response to submissions report. 
 
The planning documentation, including the response to submissions report, is housed on the NSW Government's Planning Portal.
