EOI open for Gunnedah language group
EOI open for Gunnedah language group
SHARE
Aboriginal language and storytelling will be integrated into the Gunnedah Hospital Redevelopment to support a culturally safe environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers, staff and families.
We are seeking interest from community and local Aboriginal organisations to contribute to a Language Reference Group.
The group will be supported by Red Chief Local Aboriginal Land Council and independent facilitator, Odee Welsh.
Members should be available to meet at least two times in March 2025 (timing 5-7pm). Payment is available to cover the cost of time and travel to participate in discussions.
Opportunities for language include internal department signage and external welcome signage.
Community is encouraged to come together and contribute to this opportunity for culture to stand strong in this important facility.
The EOI closes on Friday 28 February 2025, 5pm, and can be found here:

If assistance is required please contact your local Aboriginal community organisation - Red Chief LALC, Gunida Gunyah, Winanga-Li Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, Min Min Aboriginal Corporation, or Healthwise.
