Gunnedah Hospital Redevelopment

Health Infrastructure, in partnership with Hunter New England Health District, is planning to redevelop the Gunnedah Hospital to provide improved health services for the Hunter New England community.

The Gunnedah Hospital will continue to function as a District Hospital and remain networked to Tamworth Hospital for access to specialist services.

The NSW Government has committed $53 million to redevelop Gunnedah Hospital. The project is part of an extensive body of capital works being delivered across the Hunter New England Local Health District.

Community Benefits

The redevelopment will provide patients, families and carers a modern facility to meet the health needs of the community now and into the future.  It will also offer a more culturally appropriate environment to improve access for all population groups.
