The $100 million Manning Hospital Redevelopment Stage 2 will provide patients, carers and staff with a modern new hospital building to help meet the health needs of the community now, and into the future.
The redevelopment is designed around people, places and interaction. It delivers an environment which is more culturally respectful, provides connections to nature and natural light, and reflects the diversity of the community.
Design is well underway for Stage 2, which will create:
Upgraded capacity for acute and inpatient beds to support contemporary models of care
Improved connectivity across campus
Relocation of inpatient support services, including pharmacy, pathology and mortuary
An integrated back-of-house and upgrade of essential hospital infrastructure
Reconfiguration and refurbishment of key areas
Improved drop-off and front-of-house areas to provide a clear entry to the hospital
The NSW Government has committed $100 million for Stage 2 of the Manning Hospital Redevelopment, with a total investment commitment of $140 million for Stages 1 and 2. Stage 1 of the Manning Hospital Redevelopment was completed in 2020 and includes new centres for cancer care and dialysis, new medical imaging, more consultation spaces, and car parking.
