Making sure your art's in the right place

The project team’s effort to integrate art into the redevelopment began during the early planning stages. Workshops involving staff, local artists, and Aboriginal stakeholders shaped the Arts in Health framework, complementing the district’s longstanding strategy at John Hunter Hospital which has been running for almost 25 years.



Local artist Ellie Hannon is creating art for the precinct. She'll be at the Olive Tree Christmas Market  on Saturday, 16 December at Civic Park Newcastle. You're invited to come meet Ellie, hear about the new hospital and make some artwork you can keep.
